Exterior

Although these vehicles are both SUVs from top brands, they still have a very different appearance. The 2021 Genesis GV80 has sleeker and sportier lines, whereas the 2021 Lexus GX 460 is a little simpler and boxy. They both have large pronounced grilles, although the GV80 has a classier look. More towing capacity comes from the Lexus, while the Genesis has a little more horsepower. With that, the Genesis also adds higher torque, which transmits power a little more effectively.

Both of these vehicles will have chrome molding around the side of the body. There are also daytime running lights on each, as well as intermittent windshield wipers. The 2021 Lexus GX 460 sits on 18" alloy wheels and the 2021 Genesis GV80 sits on 19" alloy wheels.

Interior

There is a lot more room in the rear of the 2021 Genesis GV80 than you will see in the 2021 Lexus GX 460. Passengers will be able to stretch their legs easier, or there will be more space for cargo. There is also more front head and legroom in the Genesis. Although the GV80 is more spacious, it offers less seating than the Lexus GX 460.

For the Lexus there is piano black trim on the interior, and there is wood and alloy trim for the 2021 Genesis GV80 . Seating on the 2021 Lexus GX 460 is upholstery synthetic leather and the GV80 will be NuLuxe upholstery synthetic leather. An electric glass sunroof is available on the Genesis GV80. Both of these vehicles have memorized height and tilt for the driver and passenger seats. The GX 460 has a leather-trimmed, tilt telescoping steering wheel and the GV80 has an alloy and leather-trimmed, tilt telescoping steering wheel.

Technology

Listen to your favorite music through 9 speakers on the Lexus and 12 speakers on the  2021 Genesis GV80. Both vehicles allow you to access Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through a voice activating system. Although they differ, both vehicles have a telematics system. For Lexus it is Safety Connect and Genesis is Genesis Connected Service. Apps can also be accessed on the 2021 Lexus GX 460 through a 10.3 inch multi-function touch screen, and a 14.5 inch multi-function touch screen on the 2021 Genesis GV80.

Comfort & Convenience

For your convenience, both vehicles have a vehicle start button. They also feature dual-zone climate control and passenger ventilation controls. Memorized adjustments for the door mirrors and steering wheel are very convenient, too.

Safety & Driver Assist
There are many great driver assistance features available for these vehicles. Blind Spot Detection is available for both, as well as Hill Holder Hill-Star Assist. The  2021 Genesis GV80 has a LATCH system, for safer and quicker installation of children's seats. Both the Lexus and the Genesis have Lane Departure Warning and different drive modes. The 2021 Genesis GV80 comes with Forward-Collision Avoidance Assist and Parking Assistance, but the Lexus will have Rear-Cross Traffic Alert.
